R U Dull of Hearing …

Image result for Revelation 2:4The Apostle Paul in 2 Timothy 4:2 admonishes Timothy to:

“Go out and preach the word! Go whether it’s an opportune time or not! Reprove, warn, and encourage, but do so with all the patience and instruction needed to fulfill your calling …

  1. It doesn’t matter if we are in season or out of season, the Word of God is forever to be in our mouths and on our lips. Paul tells us that we are to become “Living Epistles” which can be found in 2 Corinthians 3:1-3 …
  2. The Written Word of God represents the “Voice” of God which is alive, it’s active, it has all power, and it has authority over all other voices …

  3. In other Words, the Voice of God is eternal and is not confined to time and space, so when you activate the Word of God out of the abundance of your heart and through your mouth, they will be formed on your lips and will accomplish what they had been sent to do …

  4. The Apostle Paul is still saying the same thing to us today … Since when do we have to have permission from anyone to speak life and health into the life of a person who needs to hear a word in their ear that would free them from the “law of sin and death” (Romans 8:2).

  5. Since the Holy Spirit is with us, He will enable and empower us reprove, warn and encourage souls who need to come to the foot of the cross to receive Jesus in their lives.

  6. But sadly, we are living in a time and a season where “… some will no longer tolerate sound teaching. Instead, they will live by their own desires; they’ll scratch their itching ears by surrounding themselves with teachers who approve of their lifestyles and tell them what they want to hear. They will turn away from the real truth you have to offer because they prefer the sound of fables and myths’ (2 Timothy 3-4).

Questions?

Could it be that the Church has become dull of hearing due to compromising the Word of God, or watering down the Gospel of Jesus Christ?

Is the Church ignoring or oblivious to the fact to the screams of babies, men, women and children who are being persecuted day in and day out simply because of their faith?

Could it be that the Church looks too much like the world that they cannot see the Christ we speak about and are supposed to be living for?

1 Timothy 4:1-2 reads …

But even so, the Spirit very clearly tells us that in the last times some will abandon the true faith because of their devotion to spirits sent to deceive and sabotage, and mistakenly they will end up following the doctrine of demons. They will be carried away through the hypocrisy of liars whose consciences have been branded with a red-hot iron …

Could it be that the Church has “Abandoned its first love” (Revelation 2:4) … could it be … Selah …
