Praying Through Psalms | 25 – 29

imgresPsalm 25: ( A Prayer of Commitment) Lord, I offer myself to You. I trust only in You—do not let me be disgraced, or publicly shamed. Instead, show me the way to go. Point out the right path for me to follow. Guide me into Your truth—teach me—for You alone can save me.

You are known as a God of compassion and unfailing love. So look upon me with mercy. Do not remember the many things I have done wrong—the poor choices and bad decisions I have made. Instead, remember me in the light of Your unfailing love. In Your mercy, lead me and guide me. Teach me what is right, so that I can live in ways that bring glory to Your name. Amen.

imgresPsalm 26: ( A Prayer of Trust by the Innocent), This psalm is a solemn protest of innocence or an examination of conscience before entering the temple to pray God. “I will wash my hands in innocence” exclaims the faithful. In order to approach prayer and bless the Lord in the liturgical assembly we need to have not an exterior and superficial purification but a profound one rooted in the heart.

With this Psalm, the faithful sings a song of thanksgiving for the favours that God has blessed him with.  ”In assemblies I will bless the Lord”. We can make this psalm our own to maintain our sense of joy and gratitude.

Prayer: Send the fire of your Holy Spirit deep within us, Lord, so that we can serve you with innocent hearts and please you with pure minds. See more at http://www.paulinesa.org/index.php/inspirational-thought/128-praying-psalm-26

imgresPsalm 27 by KC Bob: You Lord are my light and my salvation.. whom shall I fear? You are the stronghold of my life.. of whom shall I be afraid?imgresWhen evil ones assault my soul.. you are there to trip them up and cause me to overcome. Though a spiritual army encamp against me my heart shall not fear.. though demonic war arise against me.. yet I will be confident.

I ask you Lord to manifest your presence in me Lord.. help me to know you are close.. especially in times of trial and trouble. I long to gaze upon your beauty all the days of my life and to be in your presence.

Thank you Lord for the promise to hide me in the shelter of your wings in the day of trouble.. praise you Jesus for the covering you offer.. you are my bedrock.. the one stable foundation that I can stand and build on.

I will sing and make melody to you Lord.. for you have defeated my enemies on the cross.. I will shout with joy.. for you have gloriously saved me! Thank you Father that you hear me when I cry out to you.. you are gracious to me and answer me.

My heart says to you, “Your face, Lord, do I seek.”  I am thankful that you do not hide not your face from me.. you do not turn your servants away.. O you who have been my help.. praise you that you will not cast me not off.. or forsake me.. O God of my salvation!

Though all forsake me you Lord will take me in! Teach me your way, O Lord, and lead me on a level path through the camp of the enemies of my soul. Bless you Lord that you will deliver me from the will of my adversaries and all who desire violence to come against me.

With all of my heart I believe that I shall look upon your goodness dear Lord.. both here on earth and also in heaven. Wait for the Lord O my soul.. be strong and take courage my heart.. wait for the Lord! Amen.

imagesPsalm 28 A Prayer Heard and Answered: This Psalm is again simply titled, “A Psalm of David.” It shows David the Son of Jesse once again crying out to God, and praising Him for the hearing and answering of his prayer. In this Psalm we see the heart in a few different aspects: The evil heart (Psalm 28:3), the trusting heart (Psalm 28:7), and the rejoicing heart (Psalm 28:7).

Father, we thank You for all Your servants who are seeking You in prayer through Psalms, Hymns and Spiritual Psalms according to Your Living Word. Father, we will give unto the glory that is due to Your Holy Name. Thank You, Father, for being perfect in Your Power and in Your Strength.

We will Worship You, O God our Lord in the beauty of holiness. Lord God, Your Voice is powerful and majestic and accomplishes all that You send it out to do. You Voice skips over oceans and causes waterfalls to majestically thunder at the very mention of Your Name.

Lord God, it is Your Voice that breaks the plans and plots of Your enemies that would come against us as Your Children. Lord God, You speak and Your Voice obeys Your Word. Father, lions roar, the earth shakes and volcanoes erupt as the vibrations of Your Voice form to reveal Your Word which You have spoken.

Thank You, Father, that when You speak new life comes forth out of the storms that buffet as You sit enthroned in the heavens to behold all that which is taking place the face of the earth.  We bless You Holy Name Father God, for You have not forgotten, forsaken nor abandoned us, and for this we will not fail to give You the praise and glory because Jesus is the Author and the Finisher of our faith, in Jesus’ Mighty Name we pray, Amen.

Grace is Agape Love

When storms come know that the perfect strength of God’ Agape Love will meet You with His Perfect Grace …

The Isaiah 53:5 Project

imgresWhy do I say “Grace is Agape Love? A good question that deserves a good answer. In my heart, I believe that Grace is Agape Love because Grace overlooks any fault and sees the sinner who is in need of Jesus as Savior and Lord. Why do I say, “Savior and Lord,” that is because before Jesus can become Lord in a person’s life they first must believe that He came to die in their place for the sins which they committed.

In Romans 10:5-13 it is written:

For Moses writes about the righteousness which is of the law, “The man who does those things shall live by them.” But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’”(that is, to bring Christ down from above) or, “‘Who will descend into the abyss?’”
