Psalms 38 – 39 |Chastisement, Wisdom and Forgiveness

imgresLet Us Pray Together:) Father God, we come to You in the Name of Your One and Only Son whom You sent from heaven to earth to save us from ourselves. Father, we thank You that because You love us, that You use Your Rod of Correction to discipline us because You love us.

Father, when You do not look upon us with Your favor, we are most miserable because we have not behaved in a manner that was pleasing to You, and we ask You to forgive us. Lord God, we ask that Your strength be made perfect in our weakness which will help us to pass the test that will so easily beset us if it wasn’t for You being on our side.

Father, we thank that there is now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus because He has set us free from the law of sin and death. However, Father, we admit that this does not give us a free license to go against what You have preordained as being righteous in Your sight.

Father, we thank You for Jesus who said that we could cast our burdens upon Him and this is why Your Living Word, Your Voice instructs us to bear one another’s burdens because Jesus is our Prime Example. When we help one another by being there for each other, then our burdens will become light.

Father, we thank You, that when temptations do come that You have made a way of escape for us. You have not given us any more than we can handle and we trust You to safely hide us in the Cleft of the Rock during those tumultuous times that would so want to easily beset us.

Father, God it is in Christ Jesus alone that we obtain an eternal Hope, so we will come to You with open and contrite spirits as Your children. We are willing to confess and to admit that we have not yet arrived and that we need to have a good look in the mirror before pointing the finger at someone else and we ask You to forgive us when we have disappointed You or anyone else by our unruly actions towards You and them.

Father, we also forgive You or anyone who has disappointed us in any way because we did not get our way. Father, we ask that You create in us a clean heart and renew a right and steadfast spirit within us. Forgive us Father when we threw a temper tantrum instead of saying, “not my will but Your will be done.”

Help us Lord to guard our minds, wills and emotions. Help us to guard our hearts, and our tongues to place a watch on our lips before we even begin to open our mouths. Father, help us to know and number our days because life is so fragile and we never know when You will be calling us to come back home to be with You.

Help us Father, to have a right heart attitude with You and our fellow human beings no matter who they are, what nations they abide in or what role they have to play on this earth. Impart unto us Your Divine Wisdom with the Revelatory Knowledge with the information we need for our allotted portion assigned for us according to Your understanding.

And in that way Father, we will learn to view things from Your perspective which in turn helps us to develop and keep a Kingdom Mindset. Father, the Kingdom of Heaven is a Nation within itself and this is why Your Word (Your Voice) tells us that we are no longer a part of the worldly system when we received Jesus Christ into our hearts so that He can become our Lord, Savior and Sovereign Master.

Father, we thank You that Your goodness and Your mercy endures throughout the generations. We thank You draw us by Your Spirit according to Your loving kindness and tender mercies. Thank You, Father God and Lord Jesus for sending Your Holy Spirit to be with us today, for without You Holy Spirit, we will not make it.

Thank You, Father, that You Love us with Agape Love throughout all eternity, in Jesus’ Loving Name we pray, Amen.
