“But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to itself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus Christ, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
So what! if the market crashes! So what! if the antichrist is in the world, he trespassed and made his entrance way back in the garden of Eden. So what! if the earth is caving in around us, Jesus is still Lord and “in His presence there is fulness of joy and pleasures forever more” (See Psalm 16:11).
The Apostle Paul in Philippians 3:8 wrote: “Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ!”
Church, it is okay to be concerned about what is happening in the world, but we are not of this world and we need to seek God through prayer in order that we may view things from His perspective.
Yes, how easily it is to say that “all was well” in the good times with us, then how much more should we be saying, “all is well” with us even as we go through the storms of life.
The God who created the heavens and earth, the God before whom all heaven and nature sings, the God who sent His One and Only Son who came to pay the price of our sins, the God before whom the seas roar at the sound of His voice and before whom mountains quake, is the very same God who desire that we get out of the hype and into His presence where there is “fulness of joy!”
Let us Pray:
Lord God Almighty, we thank You that in Your presence is fulness of Joy! Lord, help us to take our eyes from off of what is happening in this world by looking up to You who is the Author and Finisher of our Faith.
Lord, it is better to place our trust in You than to put our confidence in man. Lord, it is better to put our trust in You than to put our trust in any person, because it was only Jesus who died to save us, and no one on this earth can stand in His place.
Thank You, Father God, that it is in the Name that is above all Names whereby mankind can be saved, and His Name is, Jesus the Christ, who is Your Son, the Son of You who is the Living God and for this we will not fail to give you the praise and the glory, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
