Praying Through Proverbs | Part 1

images Father, we pray, that as Your people, that You would by Your Spirit teach us how to know skillful and godly instruction, as well as to be able to discern and comprehend the words of understand and insight.

Help us, Father, to receive instruction in how to be wise in this life and to understand ways of discipline when it comes to practicing our thoughts, and to do what’s right with integrity.

Help our youth to understand that the practice of prudence is not difficult as it simply means to seek You for Your wisdom and knowledge which lead them with discretion and give them the discernment to know the difference between the true and false.

Father, help our youth to increase in learning that so that they may grow in stature and in wisdom in Your ways thus attain sound counsel by Your Spirit who will guide them on the path of righteousness for Your Name’s sake.

Father, help us all as Your people to honor and respect You for who You are. Help us to have a reverential and worshipful fear of You who is the Lord which is the beginning and principal part of skillful and godly Wisdom, instruction and discipline.

Father, we are all Your children, and we ask You to help us to honor You, and our parents so that all may go well with us.

Father, we thank You for Your Wisdom which comes with knowledge and understanding for they are like a [victor’s] chaplet (garland) of grace upon your head and chains and pendants [of gold worn by kings] for your neck.

Father, help us to keep company with those who fear You and will do that which is right in Your sight. Father, we ask You to bring our sons and daughters back home to You and to us.

Many have gone missing Father, because something is missing in their lives, and are looking for answers in all the wrong places. We as parents need You to heal the rift in our families.

Make us whole again we pray, so that we can come together once again as families to give You the praise and glory that is due Your Holy Name.

Father, we thank You that You are married to the backslider and have not given up on us or the generations to come.

19 So are the ways of everyone who is greedy of gain; such [greed for plunder] takes away the lives of its possessors.

Father, help the nations to hear the cries of Wisdom that plead for them to turn back to You while You afford them the time to do so.

Help the nations to repent and to heed Your reproof, for You will pour out Your Spirit and make Your Words known to them.

Father, helps us to obey the cries of Wisdom who in turn promises us that we shall dwell securely and in confident trust in You, for You are the peace and calm of our souls.

And, Father, we thank You, that You will give us no more than we can bear for Your eternal glory, in Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen.
