Praying Through Proverbs | Part 2

imgresFather, we approach You in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Father, we ask You to help us by Your Spirit to heed  what You are saying to us by the calling of Your Spirit.

Father, help us to seek You for Your wisdom in all things. Father we need both revelatory knowledge with information in order that we may apply understanding to the principles of wisdom according to Your Word.

Increase in us a spirit of discernment, like that of the Sons of Issachar, so we may discern to times and the seasons we are in.

Father, help us to honor and respect You for who You and in seeking Your face will find Your knowledge.

Father, we thank You, for giving us Your wisdom, for out of Your mouth comes knowledge and understanding, and Father, this is why Jesus tells us in Matthew 4:4 that we must not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes forth from out of Your mouth.

Father, we thank You, for storing up sound wisdom for the upright, for You are our shield. Father, we thank You, for guarding the paths of justice and that You preserves the way of Your saints.

Father, we thank You, that in following Your ways, we will understand righteousness and justice, equity and every good path.

Thank You, Father, for the awesome promise that when wisdom enters our hearts and knowledge is pleasant to our souls, that discretion will preserve us and understanding will keep us to deliver us from the ways of evil.

Father, we ask You, to help us by Your Spirit, so that we may walk in the way of Your goodness by keeping our feet upon the paths of righteousness.

Father, we thank You, that those who obey Your will dwell in the land and partake of the fruit thereof, for Your eternal glory we pray, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

  1. Another fine prayer Pauline! They really reflect a humble heart and that’s one very important thing necessary to find favor with the Lord.

      1. Humility is so very important in the sight of God and in service to others. We must understand that we belong to Him…and what a price was paid for our reconciliation to our Father!
