Praying Through Proverbs | Part 5 / 6 / 7

imagesFather, in the Name of Jesus we You to help to seek You daily for Your wisdom so that we can gain understanding which will preserve us with discretion, and in order that our lips may keep knowledge.

Father, we pray that Your Word will be a continuous lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path so that we will not stumble or fall as we make our journey day by day to return back to You.

Help us to obey Your voice and to listen to what You have to say to us. Father, help us to be ever aware that our ways are always before You and that there is absolutely nothing that can hide from Your presence.

Father, help us to consider the ways of an ant who gathers her harvest in the summer that she may have food enough in her nest to survive during the winter.

Father, I pray that we will daily learn to hate those things which You hate such as a proud look, a lying tongue, hands that are shed with innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that are swift to running to evil, a false witness who speaks lies and one who sows discord among the brethren.

Father, help us to always walk in Your ways by obeying Your commands by binding them continually in our hearts, and to tie them around our necks.

For when we roam, your commands will lead us, when we sleep, Your commands will keep us, and when we awake Your commands will speak to our hearts.

Father, Your commands are a way of life that will ensure we will walk upon the paths of righteousness for Your Name’s Sake, as Your ways will never let us down.

Father, help us to treasure Your commands and to keep them securely fastened within our hearts. When we obey Your commands, we shall live and not die.

Father, help us to keep Your law as the apple of our eyes by binding them around our fingers and writing them upon the tablets of our hearts, and then we can cry out to wisdom and say: “Wisdom you are my sister” and to call out to Understanding by saying: “you are my nearest kin.”

Father, we thank You, for Your divine attributes that accompany Your wisdom, knowledge and understanding, for they will never lead us astray, no! not ever!, for Your eternal glory we pray, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
