Amen and Amen …

The Isaiah 53:5 Project

Dear Lord,

Thank you for giving me a perfect example of what it means to be a servant and to love like you love. Thank you for giving me an opportunity in my marriage to be obedient to your words. Lord, give me a servant’s heart for my bride. Give me strong hands to hold her up and gentle hands to care for her needs. I know that this is time for me to stand up and spiritually lead my family by word and actions.

Help me to do this by changing my mind and heart. I pray that my wife will see the difference in me as I begin to lead by example in my home. When my wife doesn’t treat me the way I want to be treated I pray that you will give me the strength to continue to serve her without expectation.

In Jesus’ name, AMEN!

Let us consider Christ who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself (Jesus) lest we become weary and discouraged in our souls, for we have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin, for it is written “… Do not despise the chastening of the Lord nor be discouraged when we are rebuke by God, for whom the…
