Father, when it comes to having these ‘suddenly experiences’ with You , may we, Your people, learn to be still and wait upon Your Spirit who is in the by process of downloading what You would have us to hear or say by a Word of Encouragement to build up one another in the faith for Your glory in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Topic: What to do when we do not know what to do … Unless otherwise stated I will be using the ‘Voice’ Bible’ when quoting Scriptures …
It takes a fully persuaded faith to be still and to know that you know God is in control:
20-21 You, however, should stand firm in the love of God, constructing a life within the holy faith, praying the Spirit’s prayer, as you wait eagerly for the mercy of our Lord Jesus the Anointed, which leads to eternal life (Book of Jude).
R – Resist the negative (insubordination) with the positive (submission): James 4:7; Hebrews 4:12
7 So submit yourselves to the one true God and fight against the devil and his schemes. If you do, he will run away in failure. 8 Come close to the one true God, and He will draw close to you. Wash your hands; you have dirtied them in sin. Cleanse your heart, because your mind is split down the middle, your love for God on one side and selfish pursuits on the other.
12 The word of God, you see, is alive and moving; sharper than a double-edged sword; piercing the divide between soul and spirit, joints and marrow; able to judge the thoughts and will of the heart.
O – Overcomers are rewarded: Revelation 2:7, 11, 17, 26-28; 3:5, 12, 21… Jesus said:
I will allow the one who conquers through faithfulness even unto death to eat from the tree of life found in God’s lush paradise.”
The one who conquers through faithfulness even unto death will escape the second death.”
To the one who conquers through faithfulness even unto death, I will feed you with hidden manna and give you a white stone. Upon this stone, a new name is engraved. No one knows this name except for its recipient.”
“And as for those who conquer through faithfulness even unto death and continue to labor with Me until the close of the final curtain, I will give them authority over the nations. 27And they will rule the nations with an iron scepter, as fragile clay jars are shattered to pieces. As I received this authority from My Father, 28 I will bestow the morning star to the victor.”
5 “The one who conquers through faithfulness even unto death will be clothed in white garments, and I will certainly not erase that person’s name from the book of life. I will acknowledge this person’s name before My Father and before His heavenly messengers.
12 “As for the one who conquers through faithfulness even unto death, I will plant that person as a pillar in the temple of My God, and that person will never have to leave the presence of God. Moreover, I will inscribe this person with the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, New Jerusalem—which descends out of heaven from My God—and My own new name.
21 “The one who conquers through faithfulness even unto death I will place next to Me on My throne, just as I Myself conquered and took a place of honor with My Father on His throne.
V – Victory in vision if we allow the Spirit to translate and transform us from the natural to the supernatural: Proverbs 29:18; Colossians 1:13:
Where there is no vision from God, the people run wild, but those who adhere to God’s instruction know genuine happiness.
13 You have rescued us from dark powers and brought us safely into the kingdom of Your Son, whom You love 14 and in whom we are redeemed and forgiven of our sins [through His blood].
I – Instead of relying on our own instincts, let us prove or challenge God: Malachi 3:10b
Feel free to test Me now in this. See whether or not I, the Eternal, Commander of heavenly armies, will open the windows of heaven to you and pour a blessing down upon you until all needs are satisfied.
S – Substitute the old man by putting on the new: Colossians 3:8-11a; 1 Corinthians 5:17
8 But now make sure you shed such things: anger, rage, spite, slander, and abusive language. 9 And don’t go on lying to each other since you have sloughed away your old skin along with its evil practices 10 for a fresh new you, which is continually renewed in knowledge according to the image of the One who created you. 11 In this re-creation there is no distinction …
Therefore, if anyone is united with the Anointed One, that person is a new creation. The old life is gone—and sees—a new life has begun!
A – Absolute Authority when we Activate God’s Word … Luke 10:17-21
After the 70 returned from their mission they said to Jesus : It’s amazing, Lord! When we use Your name, the demons do what we say! And Jesus said:
18 I know. I saw Satan falling from above like a lightning bolt. 19 I’ve given you true authority. You can smash vipers and scorpions under your feet. You can walk all over the power of the enemy. You can’t be harmed. 20 But listen—that’s not the point. Don’t be elated that evil spirits leave when you say to leave. Rejoice that your names are written in heaven. 21 Then Jesus Himself became elated. The Holy Spirit was on Him, and He began to pray with joy.
T – Trust and Testify: Proverbs 3:4-6; Revelation 12:11
5 Place your trust in the Eternal; rely on Him completely; never depend upon your own ideas and inventions. 6 Give Him the credit for everything you accomplish, and He will smooth out and straighten the road that lies ahead.
I – Instant in season and of season: 2 Timothy 4:2-5
2 go out and preach the word! Go whether it’s an opportune time or not! Reprove, warn, and encourage; but do so with all the patience and instruction needed to fulfill your calling … Why?
3 because a time will come when some will no longer tolerate sound teaching. Instead, they will live by their own desires; they’ll scratch their itching ears by surrounding themselves with teachers who approve of their lifestyles and tell them what they want to hear. 4 They will turn away from the real truth you have to offer because they prefer the sound of fables and myths.
Our response is to: 5 … stay focused and be alert at all times. Tolerate suffering. Accomplish the good work of an evangelist, and complete the ministry to which you have been called
O – Obey without wavering: James 1:6-8
6 The key is that your request be anchored by your single-minded commitment to God. Those who depend only on their own judgment are like those lost on the seas, carried away by any wave or picked up by any wind. 7 Those adrift on their own wisdom shouldn’t assume the Lord will rescue them or bring them anything. 8 The splinter of divided loyalty shatters your compass and leaves you dizzy and confused.
N – Now Faith assures our present and secures our future: Hebrews 11:1-2; 2 Timothy 2:15
“Faith is the assurance of things you have hoped for, the absolute conviction that there are realities you’ve never seen.’ ‘It was by faith that our forebears were approved.’”
“… do everything you can to present yourself to God as a man who is fully genuine, a worker unashamed of your mission, a guide capable of leading others along the correct path defined by the word of truth.”
Close in prayer: Ephesians 3:14-21 with Colossians 1:9-13
14 It is for this reason that we bow our knees before You Father, 15 after whom all families in heaven above and on earth below receive our names, and pray:
16 Father, out of Your honorable and glorious riches, strengthen Your people. Fill our souls with the power of Your Spirit
17 so that through faith the Anointed One will reside in our hearts. May love be the rich soil where our lives take root. May it be the bedrock where our lives are founded so that together
18-19 with all of Your people now will have the power to understand that the love of the Anointed is infinitely long, wide, high, and deep, surpassing everything anyone previously experienced. God, may Your fullness flood through their entire beings, … according to the power that works within us …
Father, may we clearly know Your will and achieve the height and depth of spiritual wisdom and understanding.
10 May our lives be a credit to You, Lord; and what’s more, may we continue to delight You by doing every good work and growing in the true knowledge that comes from being close to You.
11 Strengthen us with Your infinite power, according to Your glorious might, so that we will have everything we need to hold on and endure hardship patiently and joyfully.
12 Thank You, Father, as You have made us eligible to receive our portion of the inheritance given to all who are set apart by the light.
13 You have rescued us from dark powers and brought us safely into the kingdom of Your Son, whom You love 14 and in whom we are redeemed and forgiven of our sins [through His blood], in Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen …
Bless you J
