Without You, O Lord …

Where would we be without You, O Lord, on our side, where would we be … blessed be the Name of the Lord, our Creator, Maker, and Lover of ours souls …

The Isaiah 53:5 Project

Psalm 124:1-8: A song of David for those journeying to worship.

If the Eternal had not been with us— sing, Israel, sing—
If He had not been with us when the villains came for us, When their anger flamed around us, they would have swallowed us up alive!

Their hatred was like a flood: the waters were rising and would have engulfed us; the streams were rushing past and would have overcome us. The furious waters would have broken over us. Battered and overwhelmed, we surely would have drowned!

Blessed be the Eternal who did not leave us to be torn by their fangs! Our souls cry out: “We escaped with our lives like a bird from the fowler’s snare! The snare was broken, and we escaped with our lives!” Our help has come in the name of the…

Hear My Cry …

1 Hear me, O God, when I cry; listen to my prayer.
2 You are the One I will call when pushed to the edge, when my heart is faint. Shoulder me to the rock above me.
3 For You are my protection,an impenetrable fortress from my enemies.
4 Let me live in Your sanctuary forever;let me find safety in the shadow of Your wings (Psalm 61:1-4, The Voice Bible).

Our God is The Great ‘I Am’

There is no God like our God …

The Isaiah 53:5 Project

It is in the Gospel of John, however, that the most beautiful and personally meaningful “I am”s are found. There are seven of these, as follows:

“I am the bread of life” (John 6:35,48,51).

“I am the light of the world” (John 8:12).

“I am the door of the sheep”(John 10:7,9).

“I am the good shepherd” (John 10:11,14).

“I am the resurrection, and the life” (John 11:25).

“I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6).

“I am the true vine” (John 15:1,5).

God is calling. Answer the door!

Guitarist 858 wrote: “God has an assignment for you that will require every last drop of your faith, the complete abandonment to self-You are more than qualified. God bless”

More than qualified
(Judges 6:15-16) He said to Him, “Please, Lord, how can I deliver Israel? Look, my family is weakest in Manasseh, and I am the youngest in my father’s house.”
16 “But, I will be with you, the Lord said to Him.” You will strike Median down as if it were one man (HCSB)

Has God called you to task, and you made up an excuse why you didn’t think you were ready, or worthy enough? Well, God had a task for Gideon, A very important task-Bring Israel out from the power of the Medianites (Jd 6:14). God knew that Gideon was prepared and more than capable, because He prepared him! Yes, He’s preparing to stretch our faith for our for next assignment.

Everything begins in the going. If we don’t step out in faith, how can we know what we are really capable of? Moses found himself…

I Need You More

11 And blessed are you, blessed are all of you, when people persecute you or denigrate you or despise you or tell lies about you on My account. 12 But when this happens, rejoice. Be glad. Remember that God’s prophets have been persecuted in the past. And know that in heaven, you have a great reward (Matthew 5:11-12, The Voice).

And He began to teach them.

Jesus: Blessed are the spiritually poor—the kingdom of heaven is theirs.
Blessed are those who mourn—they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek and gentle—they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness—they will be filled.
Blessed are the merciful—they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are those who are pure in heart—they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers—they will be called children of God.
10     Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness—the kingdom of heaven is theirs.

11 And blessed are you, blessed are all of you, when people persecute you or denigrate you or despise you or tell lies about you on My account. 12 But when this happens, rejoice. Be glad. Remember that God’s prophets have been persecuted…

You Are Anointed

27 You have an anointing. You received it from Him, and His anointing remains on you. You do not need any other teacher. But as His anointing instructs you in all the essentials (all the truth uncontaminated by darkness and lies), it teaches you this: “Remain connected to Him” (1 John 2:27, Voice Bible).

The Isaiah 53:5 Project

images20 You have been given an anointing, a special touch from the Holy One. You know the truth.[a]21 I am not writing to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it. You know that no lie belongs to the truth.

22 The liar is the one who says, “Jesus is not really the Anointed One.” This is the antiChrist, the one denying both the Father and the Son. 23 Anyone who denies the Son does not know the Father. The one affirming the Son enjoys an intimate relationship with the Father as well.

24 Let the good news, the story you have heard from the beginning of your journey, live in and take hold of you. If that happens and you focus on the good news, then you will always remain in a relationship with the Son…

Behold He Comes

20-21 You, however, should stand firm in the love of God, constructing a life within the holy faith, praying the Spirit’s prayer, as you wait eagerly for the mercy of our Lord Jesus the Anointed, which leads to eternal life (Jude 1:14-21, The Voice Bible).

The Isaiah 53:5 Project

images14 During the seventh generation after Adam, the prophet Enoch said, “Look! The Lord came, and with Him tens of thousands of His holy messengers 15 to judge wicked men and convict the impious and ungodly for all they have said and all the hard things they have done against the Holy One.”

16 These men are complainers who look long and hard to find the faults of other men. They are led by their own lustful desires like fools down the path of destruction. They are arrogant liars who want only to get ahead of others.

17 But you, friends, remember the words of the emissaries[b] of our Lord Jesus the Anointed, the Liberating King:18 “At the end of time, some will ridicule the faithful and follow their lusts to the grave.”

19 These are the men among you—those who divide friends, those concerned…
